Mildly wild.

7 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]
There goes a saying/idiom...that my dad quite often quotes..

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

Obviously the horse in the context is me :P

I have been too laid back & its time I do something about it. Although its pretty wicked to plan to do something when college is just about to start and I won't be having time :P

I won't say I thought..in fact this time I didn't think at all. But having been in the freeze zone for so long....
I just have this sudden urge to go wild.

To take up everything I have been ignoring. And to make changes.

Certainly something unusual. Now obviously I can't go skydiving here. Nor rafting.

So it doesn't have to be something huge or unique for starters.

To bring about the changes...I began with deactivating facebook. Why ? I'm not an addict. I don't play games on FB.I don't put status messages. I rarely comment. I don't like pages there either :P But I just like to know what  people are upto in my network - which isn't so important. So I'm off FB.

I'm  going to get something done to my hair. No matter how many people advise me against the same :P I'm super tempted to  smooth-en my hair.

I went shopping & bought clothes I know I won't wear often. My friends have been constantly scolding me to change my dressing sense or atleast be a bit stylish. So  I picked up funky stuff which I'm actually loving.

What else ? I'm being a good obedient daughter and reporting to kitchen in morning - on time :P

I've started reading good books. Not novels. Good inspirational motivating books.

And guess what ?? Of all the topics on earth - I discussed Love with a friend :P It actually got to another level. Platonic love. Physical Love. Lovelorn. Unrequited love. Death of a fully blossomed love! :D And before I knew it I was googling love quotes  :D

I'm not a huge HP fan.I haven't read a single book. Watched all the movies though except the last part which I'm gonna watch this weekend.Almost 90% people I know are so sentimental about its end. I guess I would feel odd too when the curtain drops. Isn't it strange or mystical how so many people together connect and relate to a world of fantasy ?? Its as if its happening for REAL. :-|  That shows books &  movies are just as powerful as music. The three delicious drugs of life.

Oh btw. My favorite love quote happens to be a book title.

Love , a rather bad idea. All it gives is a hangover ;) :P

Dang it!

  • Its a bit strange that nobody picks up the phone when I badly want to talk to just anyone. And a lot of ppl call when I have a relatively occupied day.
  • All excited plans go kaput!
  • Some friends are unreachable even at normal hours.
  • Mom screamed loudly when I was driving as if I got someone under the car.It was SO embarrassing.
  • My exams were bad worse ever. Its a shame.
  • A day before an exam , there are considerable number of activities going online.Fb seems to have a lot to offer.Lot of blogs to read etc. The day after exam ( when I'm FREE ) - there's a lull.
  • I bought a stylish sari for myself  ( !!!!! ) and I'm not too sure if I'll be actually wearing it anytime soon.My second thoughts are a secret and mom shouldn't come to know about it.
  • I still can't believe I went shopping to buy a sari.
  • I guess I've got bats in the belfry.I list it under what happens when you turn 20.My friends would say I've been 'forever crazy. twenty is just an excuse.'
Ufffff !

Unreasonable

14 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]
I check the msg log and call duration each and every time I unlock my cellphone without any purpose.Sometimes I do it twice or thrice after I've spoken to someone or sent a text.I like to keep a track but 70% of the time I do so - is because I'm simply addicted!

Reading newspaper is must for me wherein it certainly doesn't matter what section of News I read , but I have to scan the front page + read the 3 cartoons on second page .Those are amusingly witty.Popeye is plain stupid but that's one thing which doesn't annoy me respite all the grammar tangles and the spelling loops. My day feels incomplete w/o it.And yes reading reviews on Sats is a must too.

No matter how cold it is - I cannot sleep w/o the fan on.
I'll put three blankets over me if required , but I won't ever turn off the fan.

I have a habit of asking "Where did you get that from?" every single time I see a friend/cousin in a b'ful outfit! I cannot resist asking that nor can I stop pestering until I am given a proper answer ! So many of the ones I know keep their shopping destinations a big secret. At the end , it wouldn't even matter to me because I never seem to make a plan 'Ah yes..I will go there now' . I just like to know what place on earth contains the good stuff since I'm almost always jinxed when it comes to shopping.
And not just in case of outfits - my jaws & vocal cords react spontaneously after seeing great shoes , bags , junk jewellery and watches too !

I laugh a little too much at times.Even when there's nothing funny about what is being said.On top of that ,  I'm quite a tubelight because I laugh a bit late.

Few ( selective ) people I meet or have met for a short while or have been with for a long time have a strange influence on me.I get a hangover of their style of speaking or body language. Not that I try copying them..but I involuntarily start talking like them , for a few mins to be precise.
Dunno what kind of rare IN-FLU-ENCE it is.

A week & few seconds

3 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]
I've had the most wonderful time this week.It was my cousin's wedding at Mahableshwar & I came down to Pune 4 days prior to the wedding for the dance practice. Our dance was a hug success ..the bride's side family was in awe of our performance!
Speciality was the pirography done - those fire effects! Fantastic it was!

The wedding was superb. The entire week passed by so quickly that it feels like I was there just few seconds back.
Wasn't I trying to set my hair ?
Wasn't I just practicing our dance ?
Wasn't I just having dinner with them all?!
Wasn't I crazily laughing with Rach & Nik that they thought I was drunk!!!??
I was right there ! How am I here now ?? :(
How come it all passed so damn fast that I clnd't even breathe through them ??!

That particular half an hour I'm never going to forget is where I was laughing like a lunatic!! It was so hilarious w/o even a joke being cracked!! I laughed so much that my stomach started paining! lol lol...pleaseeee..where did you guys go haan?? time time , come back to me! :))

The bride looked gorgeous! This time I roughly attended all the functions & no matter what , marwari weddings are the BEST!!!
From how we snatched the groom's 'jooti' THRICE to how we chuckled over the fact how one of the bride's cousins was hitting on one my cousin , G'rav! Fun wasn't it ?!?! ask me!!!

My clothes were fairly nice but envy had to have its share.Ankey wore beautiful beautiful beautiful clothes!! Every jewellery that she wore was sparkling & so damn beautiful. It was her bro's wedding , she had to have the best of the lot :))

For the first time in my life I bought such pencil thin high heels & wore them for more than 3 hrs. That was a painful experience! My knee & ankle made me tired. I wore those heels even the night we danced & one of those kids jumped upon my feet removing the strap.I had to get the bloody sandal fixed , so we went to the market which was so bloody nostalgic minus the hep crowd ..:P
i've spent a lot of my summers in mahableshwar. We used to hang around in market for hours , shop even after we'd drop , play games , go go-carting , boating & reach back to my uncle's farmhouse which he has sold now . Sad :(

So coming back to market was great. We were running out of time & just had to find a cobbler , but then the shopaholics we are , cldn't stop ourselves from checking out the stuff. The footwear collection out there is always great as of what I recollected. But the kid within us had other plans - games!!! Spent some 50 bucks & lost it all in 50 seconds :P Those games are highly addictive! There was this one where you had to select a letter out of 5 letters. So Nik put 4 coins & chose 4 letters. He then pressed the button & bang on - the letter he did not select was the output, lol. And well it could have gotten him earn 50 coins i.e 50 bucks back.I really don't have to talk of Murphy's Laws. Those machines are fucking fixed.Oh and of course , my sandal was fixed too with its sole missing that had me people warning me of slipping off.True but much to their disappointment , I did not slip even once but was on the verge of it a dozen times which made Rach laugh like crazzzyyy! loll ! You can actually imagine how funny that would look.

Then we had to help Nik choose a gift for his gf & Rach suggested a purse /bag .Bought it in 5 mins & I bought another one in next 5 seconds :P . Went rolling back to our hotel.Had to get ready in flat 30 mins.Rach & me ?? Never!! Took more than an hour :P lol
My hair didn't settle at all.I was so cheesed off! But Rach kept telling me that it was just fine.Oh Yeah , look at the pics & tell me! :( grrr

It rained during the reception so everything had to be shifted to the hall. And when all was done , it stopped raining! Irony & good things walk hand-in hand ;)
The food all these days was just Ok . One of the evenings , we had cheese balls which was extremely good!
A dedication to all my cuz -
* G'rav you were GREAT! Danced so well dude! Your expressions , your moves , your body language - superb! Love you sweetheart!!
What I love more about him is that he hasn't put on an ounce of fake Brit accent after staying in London for more than an year.Surprisingly refreshing
*Nik- You make me laugh , you are great already ;) Had fun boy!
*Rach - Thanks for tolerating me girl! :P
*Anki- my sweetie pie , love you ! You still have all the attitude on the earth & I ain't complaining anyway :P
And all the others , mwah mwah! Flying kisses with love from Doll ;)

The settings done for the first night of the couple was fun! With papad & shampoo on their bed , blankets missing , power off , flowers everywhere & a stove kept on the couch just to scare them off ;) loll
Getting over the cheesy side of it was all kind of vulgar stuff written over the mirror along with sketches! Funny & somehow must be embarrassing for the newly wed couple to get that kind of shock from their own cousins/relatives.

I can write pages over pages about this one superb week I've spent.I think I'll write more when I remember more great things ;)
Latest to my nicks - Dollchini , lol! G'rav calls me that.

The guilty growl

4 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]
I wonder what'll happen when I start earning.

I'm such a miser , already!

Argh & I regret spending so much money on shopping , specially when I think what I bought wasn't worth it :| & also that I'm never going to wear those outfits again! Yeah , the latter one is no less than an albatross around my neck.

Grrrrr

My stomach churns.Seriously!

Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty

mistakes!!

What an irresponsible shopping!

Grrrrrrrrr

Why doesn't someone buy all of that stuff from me & pay me back the equal amount ?!
So that I can finally buy some gorgeous fashionable non-faux-pas-pro dresses ?
Please!

Ps - What I bought isn't crap.It just didn't seem apt at any event.

Mixed emotions

1 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]
My cell phone is dead ! Broke into 2 pieces , although it was already pretty much broken. It didn't quite have any goddamn features anyway.Living without a cellphone doesn't take much.I just cannot reach my friends too easily. They aren't a click away anymore.

My i-pod is paralyzed. Its back- light is dead.So it gets a little pesky to turn it on & much more confusing to select songs. But I had separate folders for the kind of songs I like to listen depending on my mood.So its not getting all that tough to operate my i pod but still its so weird !
Too much for my gadgets this Diwali :|

Mum was mad , as always like always at me ( for again those typical things ) .She decided not to serve dad dinner .So I was like huh , ok why is she doing that when she is mad at ME ?? ...I got my answer pretty soon.
She orders in an annoying tone , " You make the chappatis & serve dad"
No way ?!
What kind of madness is this ??

Ok I can make chappatis pretty well but hello !?!
She was gone. Its just Dad , me & kitchen for now.
The dough was already prepared , thank god ! It took me about half an hour to make 7 chappatis out of which I almost burnt the first 2 , lol. Oh yeah , its been a long time I'm doing that so little errors are fine!!!
Dad , " I had the best dinner in years." A big smile on my face.I know those chappatis weren't all that but my daddy is the best !! :D
"After all you cooked it!" A much more bigger smile. I'm loving it...go on please?
He needn't say anymore. That meant everything to me , already :)
I love you dad !!

I did lots of shopping.Casuals- none.Just bought glad rags which I wonder when I'd be wearing.I think I won't be even wearing one or two things out of them. And yet I bought it just because I loved it so much, lol ;) But I seriously think I got a little too much stuff.I needed more of casual & formal which I didn't buy because I couldn't find any :| ..yeah the jinx yet again! But since I could find other good clothes , would wanna thank mum , my lucky mascot for shopping :)

Walking down the street at bout 9 , I had the most amazing feeling.Felt liberated.Felt happy.Felt energetic.Felt like I was flying.I
Festivity has its own charm. And what more could it be with a cold wind blowing overhead ;)
I love this street at night , specially during this time of the year.Every house is lighted with those little lightings , Coconut trees by its side , The wind - breezy & brisk , Faint noise of the crackers. And me , walking down alone watching & feeling all of these.
In other words - an indescribable enigmatic mojo , all around . I'm loving it !!

3 of my cousins got engaged => 3 weddings => Lots of shopping => Lots of fun => Lots of good food :D => And lots of fun again ! :)
I just hope no exam clashes during any of these weddings.I don't wanna miss even a single moment out of those glittery events.

And those dark hour moments lasted for 3-4 days.I already see dawn with speckles of orange in the clouds.Waiting for broad daylight in life!

The Shopping Laws

1 Cuppa coffeee [comments ]

I might have pulled out about a 50 outfits including shirts , t-shirts , tunics , tops etc , from just one store. I filtered the selection & chose 10 tops finally. But that was not the end of it.I then wanted to try them all to be sure it just suits me.

# If one had a deep neck line , the other almost suffocated me.
# If one was too long , the other was too short. [ And what I wanted wasn't available ]
# If one was fitting well , I didn't like its color anyway or it didn't suit me , so I thought.
# If one just looked nice otherwise , looked horrible after donning .
# If one had weird sleeves , the other had weird sleeves too which didn't look bad when I first saw them but ....uh

For all the others , I could pull out one or two flaws regarding color , fitting , looks etc.

I bought nothing.
I was frustrated.
I felt like throwing all those clothes out of the shop, I was so mad.
I wanted to yell & ask why don't they have good stuff at all ?

[ The chiller change in font indicates the chilling madness involved ! ]

Checking out other shops , I found nothing yet again.Even if I did find anything good , it wasn't something I really needed. I , for the first time in my life went shopping for formal wear. And all I could see was party-wear. Then I decided that I'll look for casuals & not just stick to formal. But just tricking your jinx by letting it know that you are not looking for what you wanted to buy in the first place , doesn't fool the jinx ! Jinx is too smart for a desperate-shopper.

Talking of shopping & jinx , here are the shopping laws that I read some time back in a form of quote.

If you like it, they don't have it in your size.
If you like it and it fits, you can't afford it.
If you like it, it fits and you can afford it, it falls apart the first time you wear it.

lol.. such a thing never happened with me ( the last one ) but let me just modify the laws as per my experience.

# If you choose a outfit, and try it on - it won't fit you.
# If its a size larger, the smaller size won't be available .If its smaller, the larger size was bought by someone minutes before you entered the shop.
# If it fits you, you do not like its color.
# The other available colors won't be your favorite either.
# If you do like the color, you loath the price tag.
# That very day, there won't be any such outfit that you would find for a price lesser than what you'd seen.
# No discounts during such times.
# If you have some membership card through which you could avail of some benefits , you forgot it at home , forgetful baby.
# If at all you are ready to pay for it , somebody already bought it since you were taking ages to decide !
# You choose next thing, & you see a friend fancying the same outfit.
# Hell-bent on being different, you drop the plan of buying it.
# Later , you realize she never bought it.
# If finally you like something, it fits you , is affordable .....

............ you won't go shopping that day because it would rain heavily & by next time bang ! the outfit is swapped by someone else & you didn't even know if it did exist. Huh ?

There's a lot more to it..the laws that is.
One thing that freaked me out the most was that I'm sick since the day I went shopping & found nothing Good ! Bloody jinx!
